About SCOTTISH MINIMOTO CHAMPIONSHIP
The Scottish Mini Moto Championship – Powered by RS Academy Scotland
For over 30 years, the Scottish Mini Moto Championship has been igniting young riders’ passion for motorsport. It offers children the chance to buit heir skills in ability-based practice groups before competing in thrilling Sunday races.
Now proudly operating under RS Academy Scotland, the championship continues its close partnership with ESKC. While no longer directly part of ESKC, riders are still encouraged to hold an annual ESKC membership, which grants free practice sessions at the track when not booked for events.
Being part of RS Academy Scotland brings added benefits — including access to a broader network of rider development programs, coaching resources, and pathways into other motorsport disciplines. This alignment ensures a more structured and supportive environment for young talent to flourish.
With many participants still in school, the championship makes the most of school holidays by offering extra practice opportunities. The season features eight competitive rounds starting in April, plus a non-championship warm-up round in March.
Racing takes place at some of Scotland’s top circuits, delivering a challenging and exhilarating experience for young riders. The club is proudly family-oriented, creating a welcoming atmosphere where kids form lasting friendships while enjoying the thrill of the sport.
